Simple Plumbing Pipe Fitting Single Shelf is an industrial looking shelf bracket made from plumbing pipe. Vintage style plumbing components finished in a range of colour options from standard galvanised plumbing pipe, black steel pipe, or a flat black painted finish. Designed to withstand a reasonable weight. The Simple plumbing pipe single shelf bracket is designed for many uses.

This shelf bracket can be used to support a range of different timber shelf lengths to best match your needs, turning your everyday wall or storage space into a main feature of the room. This fitting tightened by vice. It is available is for different length shelves, this determined by the length of timber used.

You should require at least two of these brackets per shelf.

One support shelf bracket contains:

• 2X Wall flanges in Galvanised or Black steel
• 1 X Pipe fitting Elbows in Galvanised or Black steel
• 1 X threaded pipe length in Galvanised or Black steel
• 1 X threaded hex nipples in Galvanised or Black steel
• 8 X wood screws

Shelf timber

Standard shelf shown here is a black face form-ply.  Our standard minimum shelf depth is from 185mm – 250mm. For greater shelf depth choose to make for extra width.  This is fine for most weights at a span of 1200mm or less but bear in mind a wider span will bow with too much weight and a third bracket support will need to be included.

The timber shelf is not supplied as part of this kit. The surface it is being attached to and the screws that are being used, will determine the weight load of the shelf itself. On a plasterboard it will withstand around 7 kg’s and for wood and masonry, it will hold to about 15 kgs.

This shelf is suitable for every building and any setting. A perfect bookshelf, beverage stand for an overheard bar feature or simply a place to hold your keys.  Whatever it’s function in your space, this will catch the attention of every passer by and create a modern and classy environment.

Pipe fittings

This shelf can be made with a number of pipe finishes. From a standard galvanised finish with plain wall flanges to decorative wall flanges in raw steel. These can also be ordered with a flat black painted finish.

We assemble using large vices and forged wrenches to ensure that the pipe’s tapered thread wont come undone.

Hardware supplied

The pipe components are supplied for this DIY kit as partly assembled and labelled.

All Galvanised fittings and pipe are cleaned of oil and scrubbed to a reasonable degree. This makes sure no oil remains internally that can weep after assembly.

All Raw steel fittings and pipe are cleaned of mineral oils and prepared with a light coating of Linseed oil. You should re-apply as needed to prevent rusting.

Painted pipework and fittings are cleaned to remove mineral oil and spray coated with primer and then final color. These are left to dry for 24 hours  and inspected prior to shipping.
